Robyn Lawley Wants Us To Stop Using The Term 'Plus-Size'

Robyn Lawley is not happy with the word 'plus-size' being used in the fashion industry and she's speaking out on the matter.

The 26-year-old Sydney-born beauty, whose size 14-16 frame has labelled her as 'plus-size' in the fashion world, has claimed the terms needs to be eradicated as it sends the wrong message to women about the ideal body image.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Lawley said: " Telling women that they're "plus-size" is sending the wrong message - that there is something wrong with them.

"If we continue to use that term, which was created by the fashion industry, we are segregating huge numbers of women.

"We should get rid of it.

"Designers say they're changing, but they're not. They should be respectful of their customers and use different-sized women on the catwalk instead of skinny young girls."

Just last week Lawley shared with Yahoo7 Lifestyle her top tips on swimwear shopping.

The model said she had grown so frustrated with trying to find the perfect shape to suit her figure that she went ahead and created her own swimwear line, called Robyn Lawley Swimwear.

As well as being a women's advocate, Lawley is also a strong believer in eating wholesome foods and exercising daily to achiever a healthy frame.
