Fans dress in tiger onesies at the Open Championship one day after Tiger Woods misses the cut

Tiger Woods missed the cut at the Open Championship on Friday, but that didn’t stop his fans from showing out on Saturday.

Ready to cheer whether their favorite golfer was playing or not, more than a half dozen fans came to the Dunluce Course dressed in tiger onesies.

Hopefully the fans knew that Woods would not be competing, but it’s nice to see that the fashion trend spans generations.

The likely answer here is that the fans paid a lot of money to see the Open Championship and already packed their favorite onesie to cheer or Woods. So what were they going to do, leave it neatly folded in their suitcase?

Given the Northern Ireland weather is sitting in the low 60s and high 50s with 10 mph winds, maybe wearing fleece pajamas are the most comfortable — if not fashionable — outfit.

Tickets for the final round of the major run between $187 and $562 on StubHub, and that’s even before considering transportation and lodging. Might as well make the most of your sunk cost.
