Fans Praise Tennis Legend Roger Federer for His Picture-Perfect Selfie With Taylor Swift

Tennis legend Roger Federer is gaining the approval of a whole new demographic of fans: Taylor Swift's legion of Swifties.

After he shared a selfie of himself with the pop star following one of her recent Eras Tour concerts, supporters on social media erupted with excitement over the sweet snap.

The 42-year-old former pro athlete took to Instagram on Wednesday, July 10 to show off the picture-perfect capture, which featured him and the pop star both smiling from ear to ear as the "Lavender Haze" singer snapped the shot. She was still wearing her blue bedazzled bodysuit from the Midnights-era portion of the show (the finale), with red lipstick (and flushed cheeks) perfectly in tact after delivering the full concert.

"In my Swiftie era 🦋🫶💜🧣🌃🐍💘🪩🌲🕰️🤍," the image was captioned.

In the comment section of the social media upload, Swifties wasted no time expressing their reactions to the collision of sports and music worlds—something they've gotten quite used to as of late, might we add.

"Eras tour (roger’s version)," one top-liked comment quipped, as another applauded his expert use of emojis: "the way each emoji represents each album 😂🔥."

"Roger Federer knowing what emojis go with what Era is actually everything," another quipped.

"Two of my most fave performers - On court and on stage! 🎾🫶🏻🎤🥰," a third added, while a fourth called the duo "the match we knew we needed🙌."

"The king living his best life 👏👏👏," an additional Instagrammer dropped of the epic link-up.

Meanwhile, one fan on X declared, "He is a true Swiftie," as someone else shouted out the pop star, adding, "I’m just mesmerized the way homegirl looks so pretty and sultry even after 3.5 hrs of full on performing while I look like a mess watching her."

In previous footage from the concert, shared via Instagram stories, Federer flaunted his impressive stack of friendship bracelets.

The tennis icon—who is regarded as one of the best players of all time—was spotted at the Zürich, Switzerland, tour stop with his wife Mirka and all four of their kids: twin girls Myla and Charlene, 15, and twin boys Leo and Lenny, 10.
