Yahoo Lifestyle Fans Praise Al Roker’s ‘Green Thumb’ as He Shows Off Home Garden Transformation
Fans are seriously impressed with the changes that Al Roker said he recently made to his yard.
The Today co-host provided his Instagram followers with a look at his home garden’s transformation in a video he posted on the social media platform on Saturday, Aug. 17.
“A beautiful summer afternoon, enjoying the garden and all nature has to offer,” Roker, 69, wrote in his Instagram caption. He then provided more context for the summery video, writing, “Turned part of the lawn into a wild meadow and can’t believe how lovely it is.”
The video montage began with a view of tons of black-eyed Susans planted to edge Roker’s green lawn. After hovering over the bright yellow flowers for several seconds, the weather presenter’s video faded in and out as it visited other flowers around the property—drawing attention to the various pink, yellow, purple, red and white blooms that dotted the meadow.
The video put many fans in the spirit of the season as they praised Roker’s “great idea” for the home garden update.
“Gorgeous Al! 🌻,” one person wrote as another agreed, dubbing the footage “Just beautiful!!”
One Instagram user called attention to “all the different varieties” of flowers as others focused on the blooms at the start of Roker’s video, sharing the ways in which they have attempted to cultivate their own black-eyed Susans.
Given Roker’s demonstrated success with so many different kinds of flowers, one fan praised his gardening prowess, writing, “Al you are such a green thumb!!👏❤️🌻🌺🏵🪷🌷🪻👍.”
Others were simply thankful that the TV personality had thought to share the “beautiful” video with his social media followers.
