Fans Say Kelly Clarkson 'Could've Saved Jack' With 'Super-Human' Cover of 'Titanic' Song
Kelly Clarkson's latest Kellyoke segment is melting fans' hearts.
The singer and TV personality took on a Celine Dion classic during a new episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show on Friday, Sept. 27, that left fans sobbing with an angelic performance of "My Heart Will Go On" from the blockbuster hit Titanic.
In a clip of the emotional performance shared to Instagram after the show, Clarkson, 42, did Dion's power ballad justice while putting her own spin on the deep track—and it's safe to say her followers couldn't let go of how good she sounded.
"The mic is diON!" one fan wrote in the comments, while another person called the performance "FLAWLESS" and "Absolutely breath taking."
"How are you REAL!!!!!!! 😍😭" someone else wanted to know.
"Kelly Clarkson needs to cover every single song that exists honestly," another person insisted.
"Truly insane how talented Kelly is," someone else noted, while another person claimed that the "Since U Been Gone" singer is "Super human" when it comes to vocals.
"She just proves day after day why she's THE American Idol," another comment read, while even the official Instagram account for American Idol chimed in to say, "Whew! 😭 Our 💙 goes on and on for our FOREVER Idol! 🤩"
"This performance could’ve saved Jack," someone else quipped, in reference to Leonardo DiCaprio's character in the 1997 film—and the Jack jokes didn't stop there.
"Vocal Queen could have melted the iceberg with her voice warmth. 🔥🔥🔥," wrote another, while someone else added, "This is the lifeboat Jack needed."
Another comment read, "Kelly would have let Jack get up on that damn door. 😭."
