Fans Say Jana Duggar 'Deserves All the Happiness' as She Reveals Major Next Step With Husband
It's been a summer of new beginnings for Jana Duggar.
Earlier this month, the 34-year-old eldest daughter of former reality stars Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar tied the knot with her partner, Stephen Wissmann, 31. Now the couple is embarking on a major project: renovating a "fixer upper" house in Nebraska.
On Thursday, Aug. 29, the Counting On star shared a video to YouTube featuring a tour of the home—including a few cameos from Wissmann, several of her younger sisters, and her dad as they ripped down walls and tore up carpets.
“It’s amazing to me how fast a project like this can move along with so many people in here volunteering their time to help,” Jana said. “We are so thankful for all the extra workers.”
The roomy two-floor house includes five bedrooms, though Jana explained that would soon change.
“Bedroom number one and bedroom number two, we plan to combine those two,” she said in the video, “And turn them into a primary bedroom suite.”
The couple also intends to turn the basement into “a game room or an in-home theater.”
In the comments, fans congratulated Jana on the latest chapter in her life and praised her interior design savvy.
"You deserve all this happiness! You were always a loyal daughter and wonderful sibling to your brothers and sisters," wrote one commenter.
"Jana, you should really have at least your own YouTube channel just dedicated to your home improvement and interior decorating. You have a LOT of skill and you could become a huge success with your skillset!" raved another viewer.
"You need your own renovation show! Seriously! You could be the next Joanna Gain[e]s!" agreed a third person.
