Fans call for Karl Stefanovic to return to Today show
He was sensationally dumped from the Today show in December after 15 years, but now viewers are calling for Karl Stefanovic’s comeback.
The 44-year-old took to his Instagram account on Anzac Day to pay tribute to his great-grandfather, who served in France.
“The most moving of places. Villers-Bretonneux France. My great grandfather served here. This town so far away will never forget our Anzacs,” he wrote, tagging his wife, Jasmine Stefanovic, in the post.

Fans of the star took to the comments section to beg him to come back to morning TV, saying they miss seeing him on their screens.
“We miss you in the mornings Karl, breakfast TV will never be the same,” one person said.
“Mate… haven’t watched Today since you left….,” another person said.
Karl was on honeymoon in Aspen when it was revealed that he would be following in his brother, Peter Stefanovic’s, footsteps and following him out the door of the Today show.
It came after more than two years of very public personal scandals for the father-of-three, which saw his 21-year marriage to Cassandra Thorburn breakdown months before he began romancing 34-year-old shoe designer Jasmine Yarbrough.
At the beginning of April rumours began swirling that Karl is on the cusp of a comeback as hosts Deb Knight and Georgie Gardener struggle to bring in viewers.
In early March, Today attracted just 167,000 metro viewers – its lowest figures since 2006 – and almost 300,000 less than rival Sunrise.
