“This look is best achieved on naturally wavy or curly hair that has been washed a day or two earlier and is completely dry. Having said that you can still achieve this look on straight hair if you use the VS Sassoon Curl Secret and product designed to help hold curl styles,” said Brad.

DIRECTIONS:

1. Using a serum, smooth over the mid-lengths and ends of your hair to start helping with frizz control and to add texture. Next, use your VS Sassoon Curl Secret. On thicker hair, use heat setting 2 and the timer setting for 12 seconds, so that the hair is thoroughly and evenly heated all the way through, giving a defined curl result. If your hair is chemically treated or finer, you should use a lower heat setting. You will need to use 1/2-inch sections of hair starting at the nape. Place your hair through the Curl Secret Guide and then let the Curl Secret do its magic. When you clamp down it will automatically draw the hair onto the heated chamber. When released, hair will come out in a perfect fail-safe curl.

2. Repeat through the remainder of the hair. Remember to keep each section approximately the same small size so as not to overload the Curl Secret. The thickness of each section will depend on your own individual hairstyle and texture. As a general rule use 1/2-inch to 1 inch sections to curl. The thicker or longer the hair, the smaller the sections will need to be.

3.
Once you have finished curling, ruffle through your hair to break up any curls so the result looks effortlessly dishevelled. Don’t use a hairbrush especially if your hair is naturally curly.
