Hugh Hefner's ex Bridget Marquardt is engaged!

Congratulations are in order for Bridget Marquardt and her longtime director boyfriend Nick Carpenter!

Hugh Hefner's ex girlfriend, who rose to fame on reality show Girls Next Door alongside Kendra Wilkinson and Holly Madison, announced her engagement on Instagram on Thursday.

In fact, the 42-year-old's ring finger sported a rather unusual piece of bling - a sparkling rock in the shape of a spider, which was next to a creepy sign that reads 'Till Death Do Us Part'!

"Happy Oct. 1st!!" the Halloween-loving star captioned on the pic. "Oh.. and... Did I mention @nicholascarpenter and I are engaged?"

"For those asking about my engagement ring @nicholascarpenter wanted to get me something traditional & I wanted something different & unique," she wrote. "It's a diamond micro paved spider (not a black widow) designed by @lynn_ban & it is absolutely perfect for me!! He knows me well!"

Back in 2010, Bridget revealed she'd seen "a lot of ugly rings on people and I think, ew, I wouldn't want that.... Some of them are so gaudy with so many different diamonds on them. I'd want something very clean."

So nothing like the ring you've been given then, hey Bridge?
