Whispers have been swirling for some time that Kris Jenner is contemplating on changing her last name back to Kardashian - the surname of her late ex-hubby Robert Kardashian.

But now RadarOnline is reporting that the masterful reality star has already started the proceedings!

"She's begun the paperwork to legally change her last name to Kardashian," spills a source. "She says it's time to dump 'Jenner' and rebrand herself. Kardashian is the core name associated with the family's brand. Kris thinks the name will bring more bang for the buck."

After all, the 59-year-old is the star and executive producer of the hit show Keeping Up With The Kardashians and has four kids - Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Rob - who all share the famous moniker.

The mum-of-six's maiden name is Houghton, but she became a Kardashian in 1978 when she wed Robert, and then a Jenner in 1991, after marrying Bruce Jenner - now known as Caitlyn Jenner - before they divorced last year.
