Lindsay Lohan – who has been complaining she has a case of “walking pneumonia” for a few weeks – was admitted to Mt Sinai hospital in New York after suffering with chest problems. According to TMZ.com, she was given antibiotics and was discharged soon after.
The troubled star then went back to her hotel room to recover. Lohan tried to claim earlier this month she could not film her part in ‘Scary Movie 5’ – in which she stars alongside Charlie Sheen – because she was suffering from the “walking pneumonia”.
A source said, “Lindsay missed every meeting she had for the film, including script reads and wardrobe meetings.
"Then she missed her flight to Atlanta on Sunday to shoot the movie. The producers had been getting signs Friday that she was a mess, and would not be fit to work.
"She is under contract - so to get out of it, she had to prove that she was sick. She tried to prove she has walking pneumonia." She eventually filmed the role.
The 26-year-old was arrested in New York last week (19.09.12) after she allegedly bumped into a pedestrian while driving and left the scene of the accident.
