Sunday afternoons and cider go hand-in-hand like Kim and Kanye. I was lucky enough to spend Sunday afternoon feasting on sliders and sipping on ciders in Bondi.
Rochdale Traditional Cider and Grant King – head chef at Gastro Park in Potts Point - have teamed up to create the Beached As Sunday Sessions, which will be held at Bondi’s Beach Road Hotel every Sunday from now until the end of January, 2013.
Grant has taken inspiration from the New Zealand cider to create a special menu which includes:
- Cider Slider with cider baked pig, crunchy crackles and apple celeriac slaw (is your mouth watering or what?)
- Crispy Claw with soft shell crab in a cider batter with zingy lemon and lime mayonnaise wrapped in lettuce leaf with cucumber and coriander
- The Rochdale Frostie with cider caramelised apple ice cream, granny smith popping candy
