Christmas parties and epic hangovers go hand-in-hand, that's a given. Luckily, I was well-prepared this year and found my ultimate hangover cure to ensure that the morning after was bearable at the very least.Drinking lots of water in between alcohol as well as before going to bed is the sensible thing to do, though much easier said than done. After the work Christmas party on Friday, I tried out the rehydration range from Hydralyte in an attempt to curb my hangover the next day. To my delight, I was actually able to wake up and get on with my Saturday - which basically involved lounging in the pool!

So what is Hydralyte? Well, to put it simply, it's a solution which contains the correct balance of electrolytes and glucose required for rapid rehydration.

Naturopath, Nutritionist and Author, Lisa Guy says, "Caffeine, like alcohol, is a known diuretic and beverages including coffee, soft drinks and energy drinks that contain high levels of caffeine can lead to individuals unconsciously increasing their chances of dehydration. Reaching for an electrolyte drink such as Hydralyte will replenish lost nutrients and assist in settling upset stomachs."

The range comes in powder form or pre-mixed drinks which you can drink after your last alcoholic beverage for the night and before bed.
