The Famous Toll House Cookie Has a New Holiday Flavor
Your favorite cookie just got even better (if that's possible).
Typically, we’re all for making our favorite dishes and desserts from scratch—but sometimes, even diehard foodies like to cut corners. So, we’re here to remind you that you don’t always have to spend hours baking holiday cookies—especially when there’s such a great option that you can pass off as homemade.
We’re, of course, talking about the famous Nestlé Toll House cookie. Whether you buy the refrigerated cookie dough or follow the recipe on the back of the chocolate morsels bag, there’s nothing quite like a warm, gooey, chocolatey Toll House cookie. It’s no wonder the humble chocolate chip cookie had its own storyline on an episode of “Friends”—it deserved it.
While everyone knows the OG cookie is fantastic, Toll House is releasing a new holiday chocolate chip cookie that might just take it to the next level. Yes, somehow, it can get better.
Nestlé Toll House's New Holiday Cookie Dough
Nestlé Toll House’s new offering, Santa's Cookie Dough, is a ready-to-bake cookie dough that everyone (including jolly old Saint Nick) will love. The package features 20 brown butter-flavored cookies complete with milk chocolate morsels and holiday sprinkles in every bite.
The brown butter dough is what makes these cookies so special. Browning your butter gives baked goods a richer taste with more depth of flavor compared to regular butter.
Even though many of us have been making brown butter chocolate chip cookies for years, this is the first time Toll House has used the method in its premade dough. It does offer the flavor outside of the oven as well, however, in its Coffee mate Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie coffee creamer.
Toll House’s Santa's Cookie Dough is available at grocery stores nationwide now for a limited time.
Nestlé Toll House’s New Cookie Shot Glasses
In addition to its holiday doughs and festive morsels, Toll House is launching an all-new product: Nestlé Toll House Cookie Shot Glasses.
You read that correctly. Chocolate chip cookie shot glasses.
The cookie shot was originally created by pastry chef Dominique Ansel—who sells them at his bakeries in New York and Las Vegas. But, if you can’t make it there or just want to enjoy an edible shot glass made out of your favorite cookie, Toll House is launching a kit for you to make them at home.
The Cookie Shot Kit includes cookie dough, morsels, a shot glass baking mold, and a $25 gift card so you can buy your favorite drink for the edible shooters—whether that be your favorite eggnog or simply a gallon of milk. From November 8 through December 8, you can enter to win one of Toll House’s Cookie Shot Kits via its website.
Even if you don’t win the free kit, Toll House is still sharing the recipe for the Cookie Shot Glasses on its site—so you could make them with the new Santa’s Cookie Dough. Now that sounds like our kind of milk and cookies!
