Scott Eastwood has opened up about his struggle to make it in Hollywood.
The Pacific Rim Uprising star revealed exclusively to Be that while did grow up with a famous father, Clint Eastwood, his success in the acting world comes down to his own hard work.
"It's hard. Hollywood's a tough place," he admitted.
According to Scott, the film industry is very competitive as it's all a 'numbers game'.
"[Because] there's so many great actors out there and there's so many talented people but it's a lot of a number's game," he explained. "You've gotta just keep going on auditions.
"You've gotta keep going and keep trying and I did that for years and years," he continued. "It's tough. It can be discouraging."
Despite his dad's success in the industry, the 31-year-old explained he didn't know anything about the acting business until he tried it out for himself.
It wasn't until Scott himself had to juggle various auditions with different part-time jobs that he learned what Hollywood was truly about.
"Did I know anything about the industry really? Not until I started working in it," he explained to Be. "Not until I had to go and bartend, and valet park cars and work construction while I auditioned for films.
"Then you know what hard work is to get into a film and try to be an actor."
The Hollywood hunk stars alongside Star Wars actor John Boyega in the new sci-fi flick Pacific Rim Uprising.
The pair worked very closely alongside each other on the film and Scott joked he was the one who passed his wisdom onto John.
"I taught him everything he knows," he jokingly told Be.
Regardless of the matter, both these sexy stars are fantastic in the film.
Pacific Rim Uprising is released Australia wide in cinemas on March 22, 2018.
