Eva Longoria Glistens in Gold, Cynthia Erivo Nods to ‘Wicked’ in Carolina Herrera and More Looks at the 2024 Red Sea International Film Festival Opening Ceremony

The 2024 Red Sea International Film Festival officially commenced on Thursday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with a star-studded opening ceremony. A-listers including Eva Longoria, Will Smith and Emily Blunt brought bold looks to the red carpet, sporting metallics, crystals and bold patterns.

Michelle Yeoh and Jasmine Tookes, meanwhile, favored black and white palettes, with the Oscar winner repping Balenciaga, who she’s been a brand ambassador for since 2023.

Longoria’s metallic off-the-shoulder gown featured a sweetheart neckline and a floor-length train. The actress and director accessorized with geometric earrings, layered bracelets and open-toe platform heels.

Smith sported a navy Valentino suit over a patterned button-up, adding on a decorative pant chain, rectangular frames and patent leather shoes.

Yeoh’s sculptural Balenciaga gown came from the label’s fall 2023 couture collection. Her accessories included black pumps, an emerald cocktail ring and a jeweled timepiece.

Cynthia Erivo sparkled in a crystalized Carolina Herrera column gown and matching ruffled shawl. Her custom frock’s green hue nodded to her character Elphaba in the box office hit “Wicked.” Diamond-encrusted jewelry, including a necklace and ear cuffs, completed her look.

Erivo was styled by Jason Bolden, who also counts Nicole Kidman, Cara Delevingne and Brooklyn Beckham as clients.

Emily Blunt

Blunt wore a bedazzled Tamara Ralph gown from the brand’s fall 2024 collection. Adorned with black velvet bows, it features a high neckline and a sultry thigh-high slit. Sheer tights, a diamond cocktail ring and black open-toe heels topped off her glamorous ensemble.

Jasmine Tookes
