Erin Holland: 'Communication' is key to long-distance love with beau Ben

Erin Holland has revealed the secret to her long-distance relationship with cricketer beau, Ben Cutting, putting their success down to good "communication."

"I never wake up in the morning without having a good morning message or go to sleep without saying goodnight, she revealed. "Roughly knowing what each other are doing throughout the day really helps as well."

Talking to Be as part of her role as a sun safety ambassador for Neutrogena, the 28-year-old confessed that life has been pretty busy for the pair after adopting a new rescue dog, who lives with them in Brisbane.

However revealed their secret to a healthy long-distance relationship is the keep communication going.

"It's all about communication and I think there’s no excuse these days," she said. "There are so many different ways to communicate with each other."

However, she admitted that with both their busy schedules, she wont be seeing Ben until Christmas Eve.

Erin also added that her partnership with the brand was something particularly close to her heart, as skin cancer has been prevalent in her family.

"My mother has had a few bits and pieces cut out over time," she said. "And my dad currently has sun spots. I’ve even had a few suspicious looking moles cut out in the last couple of years."

And as a result she's been "forced" to pay a lot of attention to her skin and sun care and hoping to raise awareness through her work to help others.

"I love Neutrogena ultra-sheer, it's part skin care part sun care so it really fits into my beauty regime," she told Be. "It really feels like a make-up primer it doesn’t get oily or gross like normal sunscreen."

"We did some research and found that a lot of people don’t wear sunscreen because it doesn’t feel good and blocks their pores and causes pimples," she added. "Whereas this new range doesn’t do that."

So, remember to slip, slop, slap this Christmas.
