Cain is feeling murderous when it comes to Al, plus Priya’s parenting mishap leaves Amba all alone, while Meena twists Billy around her little finger.
As Christmas approaches in Emmerdale, here’s your spoiler-filled rundown on village life for the week of 13-17 December 2021.
Priya forgets about Amba
A still traumatised Priya is desperate to put a halt to her hospital visits, so ends up lying at her latest appointment and telling doctors that her skin grafts are causing her less irritation. But she’s secretly shocked to discover that her continuing issues with eating are slowing down the healing process.
The trouble is, Priya decides to keep this information to herself and not tell Rishi. But her anxieties about being in social situations are mounting, with the last thing Priya wants to do being to attend the local carol concert with Amba.

But worried about letting her daughter down, Priya ultimately decides to put in an appearance at the village hall. However, when Rishi is called away to act as an emergency Santa, an overwhelmed and panicking Priya ends up stumbling away from the scene – leaving Amba behind in the process…
Al stitches Marlon up
Marlon is made up when Al gives the OK to his Christmas drinks promotion – but cunning Mr Chapman is taking the Woolpack chef for a fool.
The next day, a supercilious Al tells Marlon that a mix-up with the advertising has resulted in the diners being offered a free bottle of champagne rather than the single glass that Marlon intended.
Ecstatic about the error, Al exuberantly opens a bottle for Nicola and Brenda, while Marlon can’t help but wonder whether he’s been taken for a ride.
Chas lashes out at Al
Once Marlon realises that he’s been duped, he confesses all to Chas, who works out that Al altered the draft of the email.
Losing her temper, Chas then chucks a bottle of fizz at the wall and vents her anger at Nicola. It seems that Al’s plan to get a rise out of Chas is working and an off-duty PC Swirling can’t help but be concerned by the febrile atmosphere in the pub.

Once he hears about Al’s latest dastardly move, Cain is left seething. But Swirling is quick to warn the hard man to stay away from his enemy. As for Al – he seems completely unbothered by Cain’s vengeful threats and is convinced that he now has the Dingles beaten…
Meena to catch Billy and Dawn out?
Meena is elated when she manages to convince boyfriend Billy to let her move in over Christmas – despite his tangible ambivalence.
When Dawn later bumps into Billy at the shop, he awkwardly updates her on Meena’s continuing campaign to get her foot in the door. Their parting is then tinged with melancholy and it’s clear that the two of them still have regrets about the way events have transpired.
But might Meena soon be discovering that Billy and Dawn actually still have feelings for each other?
