Emma Roberts Takes a Fishing Trip with Son Rhodes and Snuggles Up in Sweet Snap

Emma Roberts shared a snuggle with her son while on a fishing trip.

On Monday, Sept. 2, the actress, 33, shared a few sweet snaps on Instagram from a recent trip with her 3-year-old  son, Rhodes, and her fiancé, Cody John.

"Fish. Read. Snuggle," she captioned the post.

The first image shows Roberts proudly showing off the fish she caught while holding a fishing rod and standing ankle deep in a shallow body of water. She is dressed in a pair of casual waterproof overalls with tall black boots and a white jacket underneath.

The American Horror Story star is barely recognizable as she pairs the outfit with black sunglasses and an orange cap.

In the second photo, Roberts is standing near the body of water while holding a colorful book in front of her face called Gator Country, which is a nonfiction release by Rebecca Renner.

The carousel continues with an image of Roberts sitting in a blue folding chair in her fishing attire while she exchanges her stylish black sandals for boots, followed by a photo of her embracing her son, who appears to be taking a nap.

Roberts shares her son with ex Garrett Hedlund, whom she split from in January 2022.

Earlier this summer, the Scream Queens alum announced her engagement to her partner of two years with a cheeky post calling out her mother for sharing a photo of her son without her permission in the past.

"putting this here before my mom tells everyone ❤️,” she captioned a photo of the couple smiling as she flashed her ring.

Roberts recently revealed that she is interested in starring in the biopic based on Britney Spears' 2023 memoir The Woman in Me, which is currently in the works.

"I was like, I love her assistant," Roberts said in an interview with Cosmopolitan, reacting to the suggestion. "I mean, it’s my true dream to play Britney Spears. It’s a rumor, but I hope maybe it’ll come true."

Back in 2023, the actress spoke with PEOPLE about juggling motherhood and her career in an exclusive interview, during which she admitted that being a working mom can be "really hard."

"I just see it from such a different perspective now," she said at the time. "Being a mom is a full time job, so I see how for women who have full-time jobs and [are] full-time moms, it's so hard, and I have so much respect for them."
