"To Edith's many loved ones: today the world lost a wonderful mother, a compassionate friend and one hell of a woman."

Edith's presenter spot on the 1980s children show Wonder World with journalist Simon Townsend led her to become one of Australia's most loved TV hosts, after her success with pop singles If It's Love You Want and Heart Of Stone.
