'I need this': 'Amazing' eBay item mums are obsessed with

Parents have flooded the internet with praise for a household item they claim has changed their morning routines for good.

The $20 eBay item is an automatic toothpaste dispenser that reportedly keeps bathroom sinks and surfaces free from the dreaded cling of wayward toothpaste particles.

Anyone with a child of any age knows the potential horror side effects of the manual toothpaste tube.

The spillage that turns to cement quicker than you can say ‘don’t forget to floss’.

Or, worse, the excess paste that hovers at the tip of toothpaste squeezed too enthusiastically by wayward hands and hardens into an impenetrable barrier, making dispensation and smooth teeth cleaning impossible for affected households.

Well, those who have been through the toothpaste trenches report a saviour has been found, and it is the Ecoco manual toothpaste dispenser, that will set you back just $10 apiece.

Sold in twos on eBay for $20, the item is fully manual with no batteries or power point needed.

Toothpaste tubes are screwed into the top and left to rest upside down. The toothbrush is pushed into the opening at the item’s base activating a compression which squeezes a small amount of paste onto the brush.

Others in love with ‘genius’ product

The ‘genius’ product was shared to a mum’s group online to the delight of hundreds of parents who flooded the post with praise for the item, or a fair dose of desire to get their hands on one.

“This really works,” promised one woman.

“I need this,” another shared.

“Take my money,” another joked. “Where? How much?”

“Omg that's amazing,” another agreed.

Plenty shared they had jumped online to snap up the clever item, so many in fact one woman joked the mum behind the post should charge commission.

“You should get a cut of [whatever is] purchased,” she joked. “I just got one too!”

The item can be found on eBay for the promised $20, though from the looks of the reactions we’re not sure how much longer it will hang around.

It’s not the first time a clever item has gained some online fame.

Last week a sausage roll maker released by Kmart for $30 sent shoppers into a frenzy, and earlier a $30 ‘loungewear’ set from the retailer turned into must-have work from home isolation attire.
