Dulcé Sloan Leaving The Daily Show After Seven Years
The Daily Show is saying goodbye to correspondent and contributor Dulcé Sloan after seven years on the Comedy Central series. Her final appearance aired in December.
“There is work that I’ve done over the past seven years with The Daily Show that I couldn’t be prouder of,” Sloan says in a statement. “I collaborated with some incredibly talented people who I look forward to continuing to work with. I know our paths will continue to cross. I am now free to pursue my dream job of being a live action Klingon on Star Trek.”

“Dulcé Sloan is an exceptional comedic force and we are thankful for her hilarious seven year run on The Daily Show,” the show adds in a statement of its own. “We wish her the best and look forward to watching her next chapter.
Sloan’s departure from The Daily Show is reportedly amicable. She plans to put a heavier focus on her stand-up career and acting as she readies to debut a new comedy special and tour.
Sloan joined The Daily Show in 2017, making this one of the biggest exits since correspondent Roy Wood Jr.’s departure in 2023, as well as Trevor Noah’s exit in 2022. In addition to The Daily Show, Sloan has also appeared on Conan and Late Night With Seth Meyers, and she currently hosts The CW’s The Great American Joke-Off. She also lends her voice to Honeybee Shaw on the Fox animated series The Great North.
TVLine’s sister site Deadline was the first to report Sloan’s departure.
