The Duchess of Sussex returns to the red carpet in an effortlessly chic ensemble
The Duchess of Sussex only makes very rare public appearances since stepping back from royal life, but when she does, we are always treated to an excellent ensemble – and last night's outing was no different.
Meghan – who was joined by her husband Prince Harry – attended the Bob Marley: One Love premiere in in Kingston, Jamaica. For the red-carpet event, the former royal dressed to impress in a beautiful ballet-inspired silhouette.
The royal wore a bespoke black voluminous skirt by Carolina Herrera (a favourite label of hers) with a matching delicate leotard-style top, which complemented the drama of the skirt perfectly. Meghan added to the ballet feel of her look by wearing her hair in a slick-back low-bun with minimal glowing make-up. For a final touch, she added a pair of gold statement earrings. Prince Harry also dressed up for the occasion, wearing a smart navy trouser suit and a white shirt worn without a tie.
As always, Meghan's outfit relies on the power of classic dressing and wardrobe neutrals. This is her formula both off the red carpet and on.
Towards the end of 2023, she attended Variety's Power of Women event in an effortlessly chic nude Proenza Schouler gown, while she also kept things classic for her first-ever Archewell Foundation Parents’ Summit in New York, wearing a sophisticated off-the-shoulder top and a pair of matching wide-leg trousers.
Just as with her latest red-carpet look, Meghan shows how sticking to classics, rather than being tempted by passing trends, is a guaranteed way to always look put together and ooze sophistication.
