The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have arrived in Scotland for the 26th UN Climate Change Conference (COP26), where they will be making a number of appearances over the coming days.

The royals' first engagement was to visit Alexandra Park Sports Hub, to meet with Scouts from across the area and learn more about the Scouts' #PromiseToThePlanet campaign.

Cutting a casual figure, the Duchess of Cambridge dressed down in black skinny jeans and a coordinating black polo neck, which she paired with her go-to Chloe boots that the 39-year-old royal has worn many times over the years.

Showing off her sartorial skills, the mother of three layered a trendy quilted khaki gilet over the top.

Quilted outerwear is one of the most notable 2021 autumn/winter coat trends.

The global demand for quilted jackets and gilets has soared in recent months, with fashion search platform, Lyst revealing last month that searches for these styles were currently up 61% month-on-month.

And we guarantee that demand will now soar higher due to the royal seal of approval.

The Duchess of Cambridge's trendy gilet was also by popular contemporary Copenhagen-based brand, Ganni.

Giving a nod to the week's sustainable theme, the jacket was made out of 100% recycled-polyester and it can still be purchased for £255 exclusively available at Ganni and Selfridges.
