The Duchess of Cambridge opted for a more casual outfit as she made her first royal engagement post lockdown.

The 38-year-old royal visited Fakenham Garden Centre in Norfolk on 18 June, where she met the centre’s owners before speaking to staff members, in keeping with the social distancing rules amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The family business was closed for seven weeks before reopening for business on 15 May.

For the outing the duchess wore a sleeveless quilted gilet from Swedish brand Fjällräven.

The Fjällräven Sörmland Padded Vest is a collarless design, and features side pockets as well as a secret pocket at the back.

The vest is made from insulating fabric, which boasts G-1000 Silent Eco technology, and G-Loft Supreme Compact padding.

It also features a zip and button front fastening, as well as contrast panelling with an olive green body and navy pocket and shoulder detail.

This wax design means it is water-resistant, windproof, but also breathable and quick drying, and will protect the wearer from the elements.

The duchess layered the outerwear over a 3/4 sleeve pale blue shirt and high waisted jeans.

She completed the ensemble with a pair of green 2750 Cotu Classic Superga trainers, which boast camel sole detailing and retail for just £55.

The duchess swept her hair half up into a glamorous do, which was styled in neat waves for the outing to show off her go-to accessory.

The mother-of-three returned to one of her staple jewellery items to complete the look, as she wore a pair of Monica Vinader Siren Wire Earrings for the occasion.

Kate has previously worn the £115 drop down emerald earrings, as she sported the high street label on her royal tour in Canada back in 2016, and on numerous occasions in 2019, including the Chelsea Flower Show.
