Duchess of Cambridge wears one of her best outfits yet for Natural History Museum visit

The Duchess of Cambridge visited the Natural History Museum today while wearing one of her best daytime outfits to date.

The mum-of-three arrived at the London landmark this morning to see the Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity and hear how it is championing and helping to protect UK wildlife.

Kate has been patron of the Natural History Museum since 2013.

For the occasion, the Duchess dressed in a new outfit: a pair of khaki green, wide-legged culottes teamed with a fine knit burgundy top. The top featured on-trend scalloped neckline and cuffs.

The culottes – from one of her go-to brands, British label Jigsaw – are currently 30% off at £89.

The Duchess’ top is another high street find: a £39 high neck jumper from Warehouse. The lightweight knit is available in green and black, too.

A Chanel bag Kate’s used previously and a pair of previously worn fringed burgundy heels from Tod’s (not currently in stock) rounded off the ensemble beautifully.

The bag, which is no longer available to purchase, might have cost a lot (around £3,000) but it was a good buy for the royal. A Chanel bag has long been considered a solid investment because they rarely decrease in value.

Kate’s top handle choice (the Nouvelle flap bag from 2017) might not be the brand’s most coveted 2.55 style, but we hazard a guess it’s going to retain its value for many years, if not decades, particularly as it’s been owned by a royal.

A pair of repeat 18-carat yellow gold Asprey oak leaf hoops (price on request), which the royal debuted in 2018 and has worn at over 10 engagements to date, completed the look.
