This time around, he managed to upset not only the Muslim community, but women everywhere by implying that those who wear burkas are just too lazy to put on makeup.

"[Women] said, 'We want to wear them, we've worn them for thousands of years," he said at a New Hampshire rally on Monday. "Why would anyone tell us not to?' They want to!

"Fact is, it's easier. You don't have to put on makeup. Look how beautiful everyone looks. Wouldn't it be easier? Right? Wouldn't that be easy?"

Rather than realising he'd just majorly put his foot in it though, Trump imagined what he'd be like if he wore a burka as a woman.

"I'd be like, 'I'm ready, darling, let's go!" he said.

This is hardly the first time Trump has insulted women however. In August, Trump said supermodel Heidi Klum was "no longer a 10", implying that she'd lost her looks.

In response, Klum a video on Twitter showing her wearing a shirt with a "10" on it, before a man in a Trump mask comes and rips it off - revealing "9.99".
