Dog the Bounty Hunter’s Daughter Bonnie Chapman Reveals How She Lost 60 Lbs. in 10 Months: ‘I Want to Tone My New Body’
“I used food as a comfort for most of my life,” the A&E alum shared in a recent interview
Bonnie Chapman — the daughter of Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman and his late wife, Beth Chapman — is getting candid about her dramatic weight loss.
In an E! News interview published on Sunday, Nov. 24, the A&E alum, 25, spoke about her lifelong struggles with weight and how she lost 60 lbs. in 10 months using the weight loss drug Tirzepatide.
Chapman told the outlet that she had been "trying to lose weight since I was probably 18 years old" through various means, such as the Mediterranean diet and the Paleo diet. The content creator said she had previously tried Ozempic, but stopped because she "hated it."
Chapman then tried Tirzepatide in December 2023 after consulting with her medical team and “lost, like, 10 pounds" after two weeks.
Chapman credited some of her issues with weight to her polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis, which is a "hormonal imbalance that occurs when your ovaries create excess hormones," according to the Cleveland Clinic.
The medical center noted that "between 40% and 80% of people with PCOS have obesity and have trouble maintaining a weight that’s healthy for them."

"I felt like my hormones were trying to keep up, and it just made things worse,” she said of her past attempts to lose weight. "I would gain more weight when I worked out. I would try these hormone balance workouts, and they wouldn't be doing anything. I would try to go to saunas. But it felt like nothing worked."
She has since found that the weight loss drug has helped her curb her cravings and she has reached her goal weight of 130 lbs., sharing she started at 196 lbs.
Chapman said, "Once I started to see that I was getting full a lot less quickly, I was able to actually eat half a portion of my meal. And I was like, 'Okay, I'm good. I feel really fulfilled.' "
The reality TV star said her relationship with food worsened after she lost her mom to throat cancer in 2019 and again when her house burned down in April 2023.
"I just didn't feel healthy, I didn't feel good," Chapman recalled. "I used food as a comfort for most of my life and I've realized I cannot do that anymore. I need to make healthier changes so that I'm able to be here with the people I love for a longer time."
On Nov. 2, Chapman shared a video on Instagram addressing her weight loss. She shared that Tirzepatide has encouraged her to make healthier decisions when it comes to her diet.

"Sometimes when I ate something that was too sweet, I didn't feel great afterward, and I realized, if I want to feel great all the time, I should be putting things in my body that I would be proud to say that I ate,” she said in the video.
She also noted that she plans to focus on other fitness goals now that has reached her target weight.
"I think if anything, I want to tone my new body, and I want to make sure that if I do have any fat that's residual, that I am able to get it off," she shared.
