'Dodgy' feature spotted in listing for tiny $250k apartment

One very strange detail in the living area of a $250,000 studio apartment has stunned the internet.

The open-plan apartment in Bristol, UK, is listed online for £140,000, or $A252,640, and while it's perhaps not unusual for studios to be cosy, the bed situation in this apartment is definitely peculiar.

In the images shared by the realtor, the bed is seen suspended over the couch, like a make-shift bunk bed, right next to the kitchen.

"This property boasts a contemporary decor; with white high-gloss kitchen units and quality integrated appliances, a well-proportioned and modern shower room, as well as an open plan and incredibly low-maintenance living space," the listing says.

"I didn't think Bristol had reached London levels of madness but here we are," tweeted Lucy, or @lucyvharrison on Twitter, along with the photo of the bed.

The photo raised some questions on Twitter - like how would one get into the bed.

"I imagine one uses a pogo stick," Lucy replied.

On Twitter, people were inclined to agree the bed situation in the studio was a little strange.

"I mean the suspension method looks dodgy," someone else tweeted.

Someone else said they suspected some was "having a laugh" with the bunk, while another said it perhaps would have been better to just invest in a sofa bed.

"Absolutely lost for words! But in Bristol nothing surprises me anymore," someone else said on Twitter.

A floor plan of the studio shows the space is quite snug; the kitchen spills in to the living space and the new owner would struggle to find space for a bed - unless they kept the bed-above-couch configuration.
