Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Honors 46-Year-Old Admission Ticket
Disney World’s Magic Kingdom has gone viral for honoring a ticket that was an “old family keepsake,” said Matthew Ables, its owner.
In a TikTok video that has been watched more than nine million times, Ables explains that the one-day pass — purchased in 1978 for $8 — had been “collecting dust” since before he was born.

But he discovered that it was actually a “golden ticket” to the Florida theme park
“I realized it had never been used and there is no expiration date,” he said.
Ables flew to Orlando to try his luck.
“I was getting nervous there because she started aggressively stamping ‘void’ all over the ticket booklet and then left,” he says in the video. But the employee returned with a yellow pass to the park, granting him admission to Magic Kingdom for the day.
“I can’t believe this actually worked!” Ables said.
That same ticket today costs as much as $164. Watch the video on the far left below.
