Disney has launched a range of wedding dresses based on iconic princesses.
Brides-to-be who haven’t quite outgrown their love of a good fairytale will be able to live out their childhood fantasies by walking down the aisle in a princess dress of dreams.
Taking inspiration from characters including Ariel, Cinderella, Pochahontas and Tiana, the dresses feature a range of styles and silhouettes to suit every body shape.
From frothy romantic, ball gown style dresses to body-skimming, mermaid trains, each wedding dress has been designed to “capture the style and spirit of Disney Princess characters”.
The 16-dress collection, in partnership with Allure Bridal, will be launched during New York Bridal Fashion Week in April 2020, with gowns arriving in stores shortly after.
“So many brides grow up admiring their favourite Disney Princess characters and are inspired by their journeys, gowns and stories of the classic films,” Allure Bridals chief executive Kelly Crum said.
“Our design team worked tirelessly on each of these incredible gowns, as each dress features intricate detailing specifically inspired by the timeless characters know and loved by all of us at Allure and Kleinfeld, as well as our brides.”
The 16 gowns will be divided into two different collections.
Fairy tale bridal collection
The Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Collection includes nine fantasy gowns available from $1800 AUD to $3776 AUD in a variety of silhouettes.
A further seven designs will be featured exclusively at Kleinfeld Bridal stores in New York and Toronto.
This platinum collection will range from $5,200 dollars to $15,000.
The initial release will include the Tiana Platinum gown, a beautiful ball gown-esque dress littered with vines and blossoms.
Kleinfeld co-owner Mara Urshel said: “We are thrilled that we will carry the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Platinum Collection.
“This magical line of gowns features exclusive designs perfect for the Disney-inspired bride.”
All gowns will be available in US sizes 0 to 30 for both the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Platinum and the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings collections.
Bad news for Aussie Disney fans, however, as the dresses will only be available to buy in select boutiques in North America, so you'll have to make a trip States-side if you want to make like a Disney princess on your big day.
