Fans think this celebrity couple broke up after spotting shady social media posts: ‘Think before you type’

Just weeks after the couple confirmed their relationship, TikTok stars Dixie D’Amelio and Griffin Johnson appear to have called it quits.

The pair's relationship has endured quite a bit of drama since they officially announced they were together in June.

Chase Hudson, another popular TikTok user dated D'Amelio's sister, accused Johnson of cheating on D'Amelio multiple times. In the same post, he made several different claims about many of Johnson's friends and fellow members of the Sway House, a TikTok creator collective.

"Someone get this kid off the internet," Johnson tweeted in response to Hudson's claims.

Though Johnson brushed off the allegations, various rumors he cheated on D'Amelio continued to appear on social media. That's par for the course for a young celebrity couple, but something changed on July 30.

D'Amelio unfollowed Johnson on both Instagram and Twitter, leading eagle-eyed fans to believe that they split.

Around the same time, Johnson changed his header photo on Twitter from a photo with her to one with a group of friends.

A TikTok user who goes by the name mgalley15 posted a video in which she claimed Johnson was flirting with another person on Snapchat. She shared screenshots of apparent conversations between them, but those screenshots have not been verified.

The video left some fans shocked.

"Wait so this is actually true?! OMG ... I thought Griffin was loyal to her," one user wrote.

"I thought he was loyal😭😭," another said.

Others were skeptical.

"Y’all know this could be before they were dating," one speculated.

"This looks kinda sus not gonna lie," another said.

Some weren't happy the video existed in the first place.

"Why ya gotta blast him though? You could've just talked to Dixie and let her handle it. I cant imagine how hurt she's feeling especially after this," one user wrote.

D'Amelio also saw the video and left a comment that said "..." in response.

She then tweeted a vague message about not tearing others down before making her Twitter account private.

Johnson received quite a bit of backlash over the TikTok user's claims. A few hours after the video went viral, he announced on Twitter that he's going to take a break from social media.

We’re not sure exactly where D’Amelio and Johnson stand at the moment, but it seems like the dust hasn’t quite settled.
