Dakota Johnson's Rep Responded After Rumors That She And Chris Martin Split Went Viral

Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson are apparently still going strong.

The pair were first spotted together back in 2017, but have generally kept things private over the years. They were confirmed to be engaged earlier this year, though a source told People that the couple "got engaged years ago but were in no rush to get married."

In 2021, Dakota said of their life together, "We’ve been together for quite a while, and we go out sometimes, but we both work so much that it’s nice to be at home and be cozy and private."

Speculation that the two have split has emerged before, but reached fever pitch this morning when the Daily Mail published a story where a source said the two had called off their engagement, adding, "Chris and Dakota have tried desperately hard over the past few months to make their relationship work. They’ll always have love for each other but they’ve both come to the conclusion the relationship cannot be sustained long-term."

A representative for Dakota subsequently denied the news and told People, "They are happily together."
