Demi Moore’s Daughter Dishes on *That* Awkward Kylie Jenner GG Moment

Demi Moore absolutely stole the show at the Golden Globes on Sunday, first by stunning on the red carpet and later by delivering the speech of the night when she won Best Actress in a Motion Picture: Musical or Comedy for her work in The Substance. It's no wonder she was one of the most popular celebs in the ballroom, but there's one fellow Golden Globes attendee who got what seemed like a frosty reception from the actor: Kylie Jenner.

In a now-viral video from the award show, Demi can be seen exchanging enthusiastic well wishes with A Complete Unknown actors Elle Fanning and Monica Barbaro before completely bypassing Kylie, hugging Timothée Chalamet, and turning away from the table completely. The awkward moment quickly gained traction on X/Twitter, with many calling it a snub. "the way demi ignored her, oh," reads a viral post from @margotrobbiev.

On Monday, Demi's daughter, Tallulah Willis, shut down any and all rumors of bad blood, writing on her Instagram stories that this was simply a case of two women co-existing in very close, very celebratory quarters. "We spent new year with Elle, so connecting with her after a win was a very organic thing to do," Tallulah explained, adding, "This angel was in total shock and delight and moving throughout a warm room of well wishers." She then said, "There was not [sic] snub of any sort, had she seen KJ wanting to congratulate her she would have fully given her the time and space. Literally just give it all a break and let a gal enjoy her accomplishments!" Fair enough.

So...was it Kylie that actually snubbed Demi? TBH, after rewatching the video, it looks more like Kylie was respecting Demi's time to celebrate with her colleagues and friends and didn't feel comfortable enough to interrupt. Besides, the two have no reason to be at odds. After all, when Kylie paid homage to Demi by recreating the poster for Striptease, Demi reportedly liked the post—so did Tallulah. And Demi and Kim Kardashian have been friendly in the past.

Celebrity drama can be fun, but this seems to be just another case of an awkward life moment caught on camera. Hey, it happens to the best of us!
