Taylor Swift Seemingly Clapped Back At Dave Grohl’s Insinuation That She Doesn't Perform Live

Taylor Swift may have subtly responded to Dave Grohl’s recent comments about playing live on tour.

For context, Taylor’s Eras Tour officially arrived in London last week. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, she played sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium, garnering the attendance of a whole host of A-list stars and thousands of fans.

However, she wasn’t the only big name performing in London at the weekend. Over on the other side of the city, Dave played London Stadium with his band, Foo Fighters.

In case you missed it, during Foo Fighters’ show on Saturday, Dave — one of the most iconic figures in mainstream rock music — appeared to take a jab at Taylor by suggesting that she doesn’t perform live.

“So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour,’” the former Nirvana band member said, poking fun at the name of Taylor’s tour. “We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few fucking errors as well. Just a couple. That’s because we actually play live.”

As you’d expect, Dave’s apparent shade toward Taylor sparked some heated conversations online, with fans slamming the “unnecessary” comments on X.

Notably, many people highlighted that Dave had previously praised Taylor. In fact, while playing at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in 2015, he even dedicated a song to her, telling the crowd at the festival: “I’m officially obsessed.”

And now, only a day later, it seems like Taylor’s had her say. During Night 3 at Wembley yesterday, the singer took a moment to thank the audience and pay tribute to her band after the combined Folklore-Evermore section of the show.

“Every one of my band members, every single one of our crew, my band — who’s gonna be playing live for you for three and a half hours tonight — they deserve this so much,” she can be heard saying in videos from the concert.

“And so does every one of my fellow performers,” she added, addressing the crowd. “And you just gave that to us so generously. We will never forget it.”

Although she didn’t name Dave directly, it didn't take fans long to speculate that she was subtly responding to his comments.
