Daisy Edgar-Jones Is in Her Dani Michelle Era
Brisket Powell has really been putting in the work on the "Twisters" press tour, but he's not the only one we've been eyeing closely.
As she stars in her first true blockbuster, Daisy Edgar-Jones is reintroducing herself to audiences with a new look. The actor recently switched stylists: She'd been working with London-based Nicky Yates since early 2020, when "Normal People" came out, but it appears that their partnership ended with the Gucci Fall 2024 show in Milan. Since then, she's been styled by Dani Michelle, who's perhaps best known for dressing the Kardashian-Jenners. (She currently styles Kendall and, on occasion, Hailey Bieber.)
Their first collaboration was at 2024 CinemaCon in Las Vegas, which kicked off the "Twisters" press tour. For the occasion, Edgar-Jones wore a tube top and grey midi skirt by Giada. Michelle has since outfitted the actor for all of her press appearances relating to the film, as well as for Gucci's Cruise 2025 show in London. (Like her "Normal People" co-star Paul Mescal, Edgar-Jones has maintained a relationship with the Italian fashion house, which has only seemingly intensified under the Sabato de Sarno chapter: Despite not being an official ambassador, she attends the brand's events, and frequently wears its pieces on and off the red carpet.)
As with any changes to a creative team, there's been a shift in Edgar-Jones' style since bringing on Michelle. It's still polished, but less precious than before — honestly very in line with the direction of Gucci under de Sarno: The preferred fit is shorter and closer to the body, elongating limbs and exposing more skin. Her choice of brands, too, leans a bit more into the well-connected "It" girl space — think Camilla and Marc, Christopher Esber, Magda Butrym, Victoria Beckham, Coperni, 16Arlington and Acne Studios. Gucci remains a constant.
Edgar-Jones' recent wardrobe credits also reflect the current conversation in the industry. For example, in New York, she stepped out wearing a trio of looks from Chemena Kamali's Chloé, one of the most talked-about and sought-after collections of the season — which also just happened to hit stores. (There are no coincidences, etc.) Flowers should also be given to Jo Baker for the warm makeup and Bryce Scarlett for the measuredly-tousled hair, which really round out the vibe but still subtly harken back to the project she's promoting.
Ahead, see some of the highlights from Edgar-Jones' Dani Michelle era.
