Cynthia Erivo's Words On The People She Auditioned With For "Wicked" Are Going Viral
Listen, it's been a brutal, hellish week. One of the few things that has brought a half-smile to my decrepit face is the knowledge that, come what may, Cynthia Erivo will continue to be brutally honest.
You're likely aware that Cynthia is starring as Elphaba alongside Ariana Grande as Glinda in the upcoming Wicked adaptation. The press campaign has been waged for an eternity now.
However, the role of Glinda was highly desired. Other actors we know who auditioned for the part include Dove Cameron, Amanda Seyfried, Reneé Rapp, and Taylor Louderman.

In a recent interview with the New York Times, both Cynthia and Ariana were asked, "When you learned the other one had been cast, what was your reaction?"
"Absolutely no surprise whatsoever," Cynthia replied. Ariana then affirmed her words by saying, "I said, 'Thank God.'"
For some reason, Cynthia then added, "Thank goodness, because it was not the two ladies that I was auditioning with."
As for Ariana, she responded, "Oh my God!"
The excerpt quickly went viral:

What if I told you that we know, thanks to Cynthia's other interviews, that said auditions with the other Glindas took three hours?
