Customers Say SpongeBob SquarePants-Inspired Frosty Flavor 'Sounds Phenomenal'
Wendy's fans everywhere are really hoping the talk of a collaboration with the SpongeBob SquarePants universe is real, especially now that a potential new Frosty flavor has been revealed.
A photo of what appears to be an official notice from the company that was uploaded to the Reddit community dedicated to the Stephen Hillenburg-created cartoon suggests the rumored limited-edition items are real and coming in honor of the show's milestone 25th anniversary.
A memo addressed to Wendy's U.S. franchisees and company owners explained its exclusive "Krabby Patty Kollab" with Paramount would be launching to customers in the U.S., Canada and Guam this fall, made available as a combo or as individual items.
The "Krabby Patty Meal" includes Wendy's version of the fictional Krabby Patty, a cheeseburger topped with lettuce, tomato, onion "and a secret Krabby Patty Sauce," an order of medium fries and a "Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty," said to be "a first-of-its-kind dessert" that's made with a Vanilla Frosty base and "swirled with Pineapple Mango Puree"–something several Redditors agreed "sounds phenomenal."

The notice advised associates to plan for an Oct. 8 "kick-off to the to the ultimate Krabby Patty Kollab with Paramount" and that a full campaign would be launched in the coming weeks to help prepare fans for the limited-time menu honoring the "cultural phenomenon."
Neither the fast food chain nor Paramount officially announced any information on the rumored collaboration, but a rep for Wendy's went on the record, telling IndieWire: "While we can’t confirm what’s coming down Wendy’s innovation pipeline, we can share that we’re always looking to bring fans new menu items inspired by our fans’ cravings. We will be sure to keep you in the loop when we have more news to share."
Paramount did not respond to the outlet's–or any of the several other publications– request for comment.
