Costco's Newest Food Court Addition Has Shoppers Calling It a 'Game Changer'
There’s nothing quite like sauntering through Costco’s famous garage doors, grabbing a non-negotiable $1.50 hot dog combo, putting in your AirPods (hey Siri, play Cowboy Carter), and immersing yourself in everything the consumer's paradise has to offer. From fruit-topped sweet rolls to massive reusable wooden cutting boards, what more could you ask for from the icon that is the larger-than-life bulk grocery chain? An apartment, maybe? Shopping at Costco is truly a top-tier experience unmatched by any other retailer, and word on the street is that experience might be getting even better soon enough.
Never one to shy away from innovation (they were quite literally the first grocery store to provide medicine, gasoline and canned goods all under one roof), the members-only discount club is always looking for ways to change the way we shop to make our weekly grocery runs seamless and more enjoyable all around. Of course, avid Costco shoppers know that the food court is one area that is constantly undergoing improvements. And thanks to Reddit user u/IPThereforeIAm, we now know of a new one that was posted to the Costco-focused Reddit thread, and we’re hoping it becomes a permanent fixture in warehouses for good.

Fans of Costco’s legendary pizza will be pleased to hear that you might be able to run to your local store and grab a hot and ready pizza pie straight out of a handy warming box as opposed to waiting in the long lines that can form at the food court’s cash register or self-service kiosk. Talk about innovation! Not that this is a new technology by any means, but the thought of being able to pay and grab a hot and ready pepperoni pizza without having to spend additional time waiting really seemed to hit the right note with club members, with one saying, “This is a game changer.”
While it remains to be seen if this is a nationwide update or if it’s localized to a few locations, a few shoppers reported seeing the new warmers out only on Fridays, and some pondered whether or not they’d even be able to keep them filled for long. “This would be incredible. But I think it would get wiped out in 15 minutes, and people would abuse it,” mused one skeptical shopper. Possibly—but as good as Costco pizza is, we’ll gladly take our chances.
