Costco's New Fall Dessert Has Shoppers Sprinting to Try It

When it comes to cheesecake, everyone has their own opinion over whose is best and what flavors they like. Whether your mom makes a homemade version that could go toe to toe with the pros or you prefer the fanciful array of flavors at Cheesecake Factory, odds are, you’ve tried quite a few and have developed a refined sensibility of what makes a great cheesecake extraordinary. We’d be remiss, however, if we left a cheesecake-slinging heavyweight out of the conversation, and if you’ve never tried a delicious slice of Junior’s, you might be in for a treat.

Junior’s in New York has been whipping up cheesecake since 1950 and has garnered quite a fan base beyond The Big Apple. In addition to turning out legendary sweets, the Brooklyn-based cafe has also been the backdrop for episodes of Sex & the City and a hot spot for celebs, from Selena Gomez to chef Rocco Dispirito. Of course, if you aren’t able to make it all the way to N.Y. for a delicious slice of Junior's, Costco just added a seasonally themed option we’ll be buying by the dozens. And maybe, it’ll influence us to plan a trip up to the landmark location sooner than we think.

Instagram account @costcoaisles shared a peek at Junior’s Apple Crumble Cheesecake option, and we can already taste the delectable looking sweet. This massive 3-pound, 8-inch New York-style cheesecake is baked in a sweet pie dough shell and features a layer of sweet apple pie filling topped with a streusel crumb and powdered sugar. Without waxing poetic too heavily, this gargantuan fall treat is exactly the kind of dessert we dream about when we’re craving a little something extra on our Thanksgiving table. And as delicious as it looks, we might just need to freeze a few to enjoy beyond the holiday season.

Beyond taste, the best part about this sweet treat is the incredible price of just $14.99 for this massive dessert, which is a huge discount compared to the typical $61 cost when you order directly through Junior’s official website. Judging by the response from fans, though, this seasonal offering won’t last long. So if you’re interested, you might want to plan your next trip to the membership-only warehouse club sooner rather than later. Or, you could just hop on a plane and head to the Junior’s yourself. Who knows? Maybe you’ll spot Beyoncé.
