If thereās anything Costco members love, it's a good deal on fresh food. āWow! Costco has sashimi and itās 1lb,ā @costcohotfinds wrote in their post. āAbsolutely amazing!ā
The new sashimi trays come packed with a whopping 1-pound of ingredients, including the likes of salmon, ahi tuna, hokkaido scallops, soy sauce, ginger and wasabi. The trays sell for $32.99 and customers online are already calling the price āincredibleā and āsuch a great deal.ā
One member from the Seattle area claimed that their local warehouse already had the trays available, stating that they āate it all by myselfā and admitting that they are ānot sorry.ā
The question as to which locations will be blessed with the new sashimi offering is still unanswered, leaving fans online with only the choice to speculate.
āSomething tells me that this is only the downtown Vancouver location and not the others due to shelf life and strict regulations on temperature,ā one hopeful commenter chimed in, ābut I hope Iām wrong.ā Another chimed in an attempt to keep the hope alive, stating that the fish used in the new sashimi trays are ā3 fish that donāt require freezing before being served raw.ā
While many were on board with the arrival of the new item, some were still not convinced. "Need cleaner cuts I rather thinner cuts more quantity," said one person. "Sushi in a plastic tray? š¤ ingredients other than just fish? š¤ hard pass," said another.
In any case, time will tell how vastly available the new raw fish offering will be. If your local has a sushi bar, chances are you might end up being surprised by the sashimi tray's presence in the coming weeks. Otherwise, you might have to get your fresh fish fix somewhere else in the meantime. Unless, of course, you and the family are trying to take a cross-country road trip.
