Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street's Evelyn Plummer is set to find a new place to live in upcoming scenes — although the move might do more harm than good in the long run.
Evelyn recently returned to Weatherfield with estranged daughter Cassie in tow, where the duo both lived in a flat in the precinct. Cassie soon moved out following a lot of tension with Evelyn, and went to live with Tyrone at his place (which has also led to a fair share of tension).
In need of a new place to live, Evelyn is thrown a lifeline when her good friend Roy Cropper lets her move into the café flat with him.
Unfortunately for Roy, he soon realises that Evelyn isn't exactly the easiest person to live with.
Could living together threaten to ruin their friendship? It's already survived Roy being accidentally responsible for the death of Evelyn's dog Cerberus, but you never know.
Speaking to press (including Digital Spy) afterwards, Lancashire cited her time playing Raquel Wolstenhulme (later Watts) on the soap between 1991 and 1996 as being instrumental in her impressive career.
"It's one of the best training schools in the world, it really is, but the calibre of people that you're working with and in such immediate fashion is extraordinary," she said of the ITV soap.
"I'm very proud of my four years in Coronation Street. I was terribly lucky to work with extraordinary people."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
