An international edition of The Bachelor has left viewers stunned after two of the women decided to ditch the guy — and go home with each other.
Fans of the dating show were gobsmacked when Minh Thu declared her love for a ‘rival’ when she didn’t get a rose from the suitor, Nguyen Quoc Trung.
“I went into this competition to find love and I’ve found that love for myself, but it isn’t with you,” she said, according to Pedestrian. “It’s with someone else.”
After telling the shocked Bachie her true feelings, she then went over to fellow contestant Truc Nhu and broke down in tears as she hugged her.
Then, in possibly one of the most dramatic (and romantic) rose ceremony moments of all time, she asks Truc to “come home with me”.
Our hearts are now puddles.
Naturally, the Bachelor was left with his jaw on the floor as Truc accepts Minh’s offer, and gives him his rose back, despite him telling her she may regret her decision later.
The two women then leave the explosive rose ceremony together.
But while the gesture has gone down in Bachelor history, there’s apparently no happy ending here, as it has been reported that Truc later decided she wanted to stay and see where things went with the Bachelor.
“After talking to Trung, I’ve changed my mind to accept this rose and continue this journey,” she said.
TALK ABOUT DRAMA.
It’s not the first time two contestants have fallen in love after meeting on the set on the dating show.
Megan Marx and Tiffany Scanlon got together in 2016, after falling for each other whilst appearing on Richie Strahan’s season of The Bachelor Australia.
While the pair didn’t declare their love for one another on air, they dated until March 2017, putting their spilt down to the pressures of the public interest.
