Comedian Adam Ray loves to laugh with his wife, Amanda Ray.

Amanda first posted a photo on Instagram with her then-boyfriend in 2017, and the couple got engaged three years later, during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, Adam and Amanda married in a star-studded wedding featuring a performance by one of the couple's favorite bands, the Goo Goo Dolls.

Amanda often posts about her relationship with Adam, sharing photos of herself and her husband on Instagram, including one tribute from 2021 with the caption, "I mean.. I’m completely obsessed with this person, I’m gross.”

She also posts photos from their travels to different cities for Adam's performances at comedy clubs, including from when he started his popular Dr. Phil impression, which he is showing off in a Nov. 19 Netflix special titled Adam Ray Is Dr. Phil Unleashed. Amanda is a huge supporter of her husband’s career, and she has one of her own in the entertainment industry, too.

Amanda works in film and TV

Amanda moved to Los Angeles in 2017 to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. She works as a casting associate and has helped cast successful shows like Rick and Morty, Strange Planet, Krapopolis and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. Amanda also has casting assistant credits for The Cuphead Show!, Animaniacs and Looney Tunes.

Before working in casting, Amanda worked in production, helping get two Netflix shows, One Day at a Time and The Upshaws, onto the screen.

The casting associate also worked on her first film as a script supervisor in January 2019, and by March of that year, she had completed her second. Amanda posted about wrapping the latter film on Instagram, and Adam commented, "So proud 🔥."

Amanda debuted a photo of Adam on her Instagram in November 2017. The post showed the pair hugging on stage at an Arizona improv theater with two other comedians.

A few days later, she shared another photo on her account showing Adam playfully biting her head with the caption, "No caption needed. ❤️ #cutie."

Through 2018, she documented her relationship with Adam on Instagram, showing their adventures at baseball games and Walt Disney World.

Adam also shares about his wife on Instagram. On their second wedding anniversary in October 2024, the comedian posted a tribute to Amanda, writing, "Nobody sweeter, funnier & kinder. I’m batting out of my league. My Mom tells me everyday. Best thing I’ve ever done was asking you to hang out with me forever."

She supports his comedy career

Amanda is a huge fan of Adam's comedy. Since the early days of their relationship, she has traveled with him to different cities for his performances. On her birthday in September 2018, Adam even had the audience at his Brea Improv performance sing her "Happy Birthday," as shown in a clip she posted on Instagram.

In 2023, Adam's portrayal of Dr. Phil became a hit, so he took the performance on the road in 2024, and Amanda was his biggest fan, documenting the tour on her Instagram. She shared hilarious photos of herself with Adam in his Dr. Phil costume with the caption, "This has turned into an Adam Ray stan account ♥️ #drphilontheroad."

Adam and Amanda got engaged in 2020

After a few years of dating, Adam proposed to Amanda during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Although they were wearing masks, the emotion in the photo Amanda shared on Instagram was clear. "The fairytale continues.. @adamraycomedy WE ARE GETTING MARRIED♥️😭💍," she captioned the shot.

Amanda shared another photo of her engagement ring in a collection of photos on Instagram and wrote in the caption, "Some 2020 moments I don't hate."

The Goo Goo Dolls performed at their wedding

Adam and Amanda tied the knot on Oct. 29, 2022. She shared photos of their special day on Instagram, including a notable moment when the Goo Goo Dolls performed their song Iris.

Amanda shared a video of the couple dancing as the singer John Rzeznik belted out the tune onstage. "In honor of ‘Iris’ turning 25, I wanted to share the best moment in my entire life. Thank you to the Goo Goo Dolls for being a part of our special day and making my dream wedding come true," she wrote. "I will cherish this for eternity. Cheers to 25 years."

Both Amanda and Adam are big fans of the band — he has incorporated them into his comedy routines and interviewed the bandmates on his podcast, About Last Night.
