Coleen Nolan’s Loose Women co-stars have leapt to her defence following a news report which claimed she is at the centre of a feud on the panel show.

The Nolan Sisters star has issued a statement saying that the claims printed in a tabloid newspaper are untrue and that she will be taking legal action.

Her fellow stars of ITV's Loose Women including Stacey Solomon, Brenda Edwards, Kaye Adams and Janet Street Porter have spoken out offering her their support and joining her in denying the rumours.

Street Porter tweeted: "I love working with Coleen Nolan and we’ve never had a single disagreement- sorry if that’s not ‘news’ xx"

Adams commented: "Pretty sick that we have to even respond to this puerile nonsense."

And Solomon wrote: "What Coleen said."

Nolan, 56, shared a statement on Twitter said: "Nothing printed in The Mail article today is true & I am taking legal advice about the slurs on me personally. We’ll also be addressing it on @loosewomen. Thanks for your support. Love Coleen xx"

The report claims that some members of the Loose Women panellists were refusing to work with Nolan after her showbiz agent Melanie Blake had clashed with Nadia Sawalha on Twitter.

An ITV spokesperson said: "This story is untrue. Panellists are chosen for each show by the Loose Women Editor and senior production team, not the panellists themselves."

Blake herself has tweeted: "100% UNTRUE story about Coleen & myself & LW. No one came to us for comment, Coleen, myself & ITV have now all confirmed to The Mail, it’s all lies & should not be online. *No one is refusing to work with Coleen. *I’m no longer at war with Nadia Sawalha."
