Chris Martin surprised fans and passers-by on Dublin's Grafton Street tonight.

Coldplay's front runner was also joined by artists Burna Boy, Little Simz, Elyanna, and Tini to perform their just-released collaboration We Pray to the delighted crowd.

Fans were posting on social media that the impromptu performance was for a new promo video.

Earlier, Martin shared a video of himself enjoying a trip to Dún Laoghaire ahead of the band's sold-out shows in Croke Park.

A video posted on Coldplay's social media saw Martin venturing along the pier and chatting with a busker.

"So happy to be in Dublin. Pleasure to meet you, Gerry," Martin wrote.

Coldplay will play sold-out shows in Croke Park on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday.
