Coca-Cola Quietly Discontinued 2 More Flavors
Fans are not happy.
Recently, fans have been reeling from the recent news that Coca-Cola will be discontinuing its Coca-Cola Spiced after only seven months on shelves. Coca-Cola Spiced, which features a blend of raspberry and spiced flavors, was Coke’s first new permanent flavor in three years. Now it’s looking like two other fan-favorite flavors are being pulled from shelves earlier than fans desire.
Coca-Cola Is Discontinuing Coca-Cola Cherry Vanilla and Diet Coke with Splenda
Coca-Cola shared on X that it will be discontinuing Coca-Cola Cherry Vanilla and Diet Coke with Splenda. "We decided to discontinue Coca-Cola Cherry Vanilla due to consumers' taste preferences and lifestyles constantly changing." In a separate reply, Coca-Cola also confirmed that it had fully discontinued the Diet Coke with Splenda drink.
Fans were, of course, not pleased at all. “Been drinking Coke products the entirety of my 65 years,” one user replied on X. “Cherry Vanilla is my absolute favorite of all time. Don’t know what they were thinking.”
When the news hit Reddit, people openly shared their dismay with the company’s decision.
“I can tell you that they discontinued Diet Coke with Splenda during the pandemic,” one user speculated. “I asked for it from my local distributor on a weekly basis until he got an answer, which was during the pandemic; Coca-Cola focused on their core products because of supply chain issues. I guess now it’s official but it's been gone for a few years.”
While these flavors weren’t permanent like Coca-Cola Spiced, it’s still disheartening to see them go. So if you’re a fan of the Cherry Vanilla flavor, I suggest stocking up while you can.
