A man has been caught out by his girlfriend after she saw a seemingly innocent picture of his breakfast on Instagram.

The girlfriend shared a photo on TikTok showing a plate with an omelette and cinnamon toast next to a black coffee. To the right of the snap, a man's thumb is seen resting on the table.

The woman captioned the video, "When you catch your boyfriend cheating because you recognised his breakfast order and thumb in another girl's Instagram post", before revealing in the comments she then confronted the woman who shared it.

"Basically neither of us knew the other existed and each got a different excuse when we confronted him after I found the pics and messaged her," she wrote.

"I'm not sure if she's still with him but I went no contact straight away (after much gaslighting) and he still maintains he didn't cheat."

The girlfriend added while she only found out about his double life last month, he had been cheating on her for almost the entire two-and-a-half years they had been together.

"He was being really suss and was away with friends so I looked through his Instagram followers and boom. Wish I'd found it sooner but he was playing perfect boyfriend," she wrote.

The girlfriend made it clear she had no issues with the other woman, saying she didn't even know she existed.

"He is the one in the wrong," she wrote.

Others then shared their own stories of how they caught their boyfriends cheating.

"I recognised the shoes I'd bought him for his birthday in her Instagram Story. I asked him and he said they weren't his. He was wearing them," one said, before adding she could tell by the scuff marks and the way he laced them.

"Heard him say one word in the background of her story lol," another said about her boyfriend.

"I recognised my ex's foot in another girl's Instagram Story. They were at the beach together laying on the sand and she only posted his foot but I KNEW," a third shared.
