Stunning video captures twin babies' special bond

The unique video of newborn twins being bathed in what is known as the Thalasso Baby Bath technique

The video shows the days-old twin girls being cradled in a bath, cuddling and holding on to each other, as though they were still inside the womb.

Sonia Rochel, a maternity nurse from Paris, created the video to showcase the unique bathing technique, which she developed.

Rochel says she created the technique because she believes babies need to recollect their life before birth. The 51-year-old nurse claims it is a relaxing experience for the babies, however, she warns that the technique should not be tried at home and is only for babies under two months old.

As the video shows, the bathing technique involves running water gently over the forehead and eyes, while keeping the nose and mouth above water so the babies can breathe. The (soap-free) bath normally lasts for about 15 minutes while the baby is cradled and massaged.

The adorable video has since gone viral. Rochel expressed surprise last week on her Facebook page at the worldwide response to the video, saying "I woke up 1 hour ago and what do I see? 2 million views! I can not believe it! [sic]"

Since then, the video has been seen by more than 8.6 million people on YouTube and has received in excess of 14,000 'likes'.

It's not the first time we have seen twin babies behave in this way. Earlier this year the Huffington Post reported on this picture of twin babies born by caesarean section in Spain who were snapped holding hands just a short time after they were born.
