Cindy Crawford won't stop posing nude just because she's 53

Cindy Crawford has hit back at critics who claim she’s too old to be posing nude.

The 53-year-old supermodel made the admission after being slammed by a social media follower, who questioned her choice to publicly strip down.

“They posted something like, ‘Ah, why are you still doing those at your age?’" she told WWD.

“I was like, is there an age where being nude isn't beautiful? It's just a different kind of beauty. That is part of the reason I still do shoots.”

Cindy, whose 17-year-old daughter Kaia Gerber is already carving out her own impressive modelling portfolio, recently posed for a selection of ‘tasteful nudes’ for photographer Russell James' new book, Angels.

In the WWD chat she also applauded fellow 90’s model Christy Turlington for continuing to showcase her famous looks after entering her 50’s.

"We want to show women who are 53, and I think Christy just turned 50, that there's still beauty in that," she said.

Cindy regularly shares both present day and throwback modelling shots for her 4.1 million followers.

But her secrets to staying young isn’t rocket science, as she follows an extremely healthy lifestyle.

"Avoiding the sun, not smoking, drinking a lot of water, and getting enough sleep is key to looking and feeling good at any age," she said.
